The Piedras Blancas elephant seal rookery is truly a spectacle of nature not to be missed, as it is a rare opportunity to witness elephant seals in their natural environment. This colony is one of the few places in the world where elephant seals can be seen from such a short distance.

  • Village of Cambria

The East and West Villages of Cambria are actually not on the beach at all, but rather run through a narrow valley inland along Main Street. The East Village is comprised of Victorian houses dating from the 1870s. Many of the homes have been converted into fantastic art galleries, shops, boutiques, bookstores and fine restaurants.

The West Village offers many similar attractions to those found in the East Village and is closer to the ocean. Many of the restaurants offer a variety of cuisine complemented by wine from the area’s most celebrated wineries. Both the East and West Village offer the intrinsic charm of Coastal California with the best in culture, cuisine and scenery.
